HOPE IN ALL SEASONS, HOLY WEEK REFLECTIONS PART 1

Ever had a Hosanna moment, when you felt the presence of God? Are you an all time Pilgrim of Hope? In a world full of despair, your faith and hope can bring a new dawn.....

Wrapping up the Lentern Season, entering unto a Holy Week which started with the Passion Sunday, l had a moment to reflect on what kind of a 'Pilgrim of Hope' l am. One that sticks even during trials and/ suffering....? What's yours like? #letsconnect & #letshare

Referencing back to the Palm Sunday, to me it was the best of all. I've never been so proud of my Catholic faith, especially out in the world where you don't even care - but seized in the Hosanna moment, and in different ways, you find yourself just worshipping and praising God, 'Blessed is He who comes in the Name of the Lord" (Jn 12:13). Just like in the old days, it was a powerful moment of tremendous joy, joining the rest of believers across the globe, to celebrate Jesus' entrance into Jerusalem. Going to the deeper end, the Palm Sunday is a typical event to challenge every Pilgrim of Hope, especially young people, 'is your faith enough to carry you through both moments of triumph and suffering?'....is it??

The Joy of the Journey 

After waiting for so many years, axactly on Passion Sunday, Jesus finally enters Jerusalem, riding on a donkey that isn't His. People welcomed Him with joy as they wave the palm branches among different magnificent gestures - the long anticipation is finally over. Fueled by a belief that Jesus' Kingship will free them from oppression, they were a people longing for hope, liberation and change.

Similarly, as young people of faith, especially in a world filled with despair and challenges that seem to be everlasting, we see ourselves through the same lense - we are eager for a better life, better world, for both physical and spiritual healing, we are eager for justice, the list is endless 

However, it's good to recall some Hosanna moments - when you felt the presence of God in your life, family or work, just like on the Palm Sunday. Probably a 'kairos moment', maybe that moment when you decided to bring that idea to life when everyone doubted; when God answered your prayer in an unexpected way; when a friend enkindled hope; a moment you finally discovered your purpose; a moment when you felt at peace or received joy - - Do you still remember when, how was it and what you instantly did? Did you shout Hossana to the Highest?
