Although wetlands play a significant role, they still remain the most threatened ecosystems on Earth. As ambassadors of #Hope4Creation and #Hope4Humanity especially vulnerable and/ marginalised communities, our #COP15 participation is more like a calling. We are here not only carrying hope, but also a shared responsibility towards sustainable use and conservation of wetlands for our common future.

“Protecting Wetlands for Our Common Future”. This theme emphasizes the crucial role wetlands play in sustaining ecological health, biodiversity, and climate resilience.

For CYNESA, the Kasibo visit was a powerful educational-based experience and inspiration that successful conservation of wetlands is deeply rooted in nature, people and place.

COP15 reaffirmed the interconnectedness of ecological, social, and spiritual dimensions of environmental action. As the world faces converging crises from biodiversity loss to water scarcity; wetlands stand as a vital line of defense and a symbol of resilience.
